111 Chestnut Street: DBVW Offices

Client: DBVW Architects
Location: Providence, RI
Use: Architectural Office
Size: 8,200 s.f.
Completed: 2007

DBVW's new architectural offices are located on the top floor of a 24,000 square foot building in Providence’s historic Jewelry District. Built in 1956, the building is a classic example of mid-20th century industrial architecture. The complete interior fit-out for the firm's 8,200 square foot offices features an open studio with 45 workstations, a large expandable conference room, three private conference rooms/collaborative work areas, and office support spaces.

The building renovation included numerous green and sustainable design elements, such as natural daylighting and daylighting controls, occupancy sensors, low-consumption plumbing fixtures, high efficiency mechanical equipment, recycled building materials, and reflective roofing to reduce heat-island effect.
